The RAC (Royal Automobile Club) is a breakdown cover and insurance provider in the UK. They needed to differentiate their services from competition and get advice on their digital transformation.

RAC's app is an all-in-one toolkit to drive safe and peace-minded.

As part of this bid, I tried to design the best member experience on their mobile app. My main focus was on providing a high level of personalization, simpler contextual offers and more innovative services.

The app provides a simple and clear view of the benefits in each plan and allows to quickly subscribe to complementary options, or to a personalized selection of other cover plans.

Getting assistance is good...

Instead of calling the RAC's phone line, members can request rescue on their app, or even get quicker help from a new peer-to-peer assistance network of members.

...but not breaking down is better.

Users get reminders about their administrative requirements and are even assisted with their technical checks.
